Brookside's Character Education pillar for the months of May and June is Respect. Respect is "treating others with honor and dignity." Respect can be shown in many ways. Speaking to others in a way that is kind and courteous is a way to show respect. At school or at home, you show respect to those counting on you by being responsible, diligent and thorough. Self-respect means you recognize you own worth as a human being and avoid anything that will damage your mind, body or integrity.
Please have conversations about respect at home to help support our Character Education program.
