Baldwin Union Free School District is now partnering with Paper, a free online tutoring service that provides unlimited, 24/7 access to highly qualified educators across various subject areas and translations. This partnership is a way for Baldwin UFSD to augment our students' learning experience in grades 6-12 and provide extra academic support at home.

How Does Paper Work?

How can students access Paper?
Paper can be accessed by logging into Clever and clicking on the "Paper" icon. Students can also download the Paper Co. app to their cell phone or log into Paper's website directly at https://app.paper.co using their Google credentials.

How can students work with tutors during a live chat session?
Students can type their questions, upload screenshots of their work or upload the homework teachers assigned to them. There are a few different tools to help students communicate with Paper tutors.

How can students ask a specific question?
Once on their dashboard, students can type a question into the chat, pick a specific subject to ask a question about or select “Ask any tutor." All of these options will direct students to a live tutor.

How can written work be reviewed?
Written work, such as essays, reports, or anything in paragraph form can be reviewed by a Paper tutor who will give feedback, recommendations and grammar suggestions. Students can click on “Upload an essay” and follow the steps to upload written work.

Paper is a free and unlimited tutoring service available to students 24/7 in over 200 academic subjects. Help is available in English, Spanish, Mandarin and French. Whether students are stuck on an assignment, studying for a test, or their essay reviewed, experts are available day and night to assist them in any K-12 subject via a secure, chat-based platform—both inside and outside of the classroom. Who are Paper's tutors?
From elementary English to AP physics, Paper's tutors are vetted, trained and qualified educators. Each specialist is a carefully selected, rigorously trained employee. During the chat-based tutoring sessions, Paper tutors ask guiding questions to help students understand their homework and will never just give away the answers directly. Tutors are available to help in four languages (English, Spanish, Mandarin, French) and in over 200 subjects.
