Math, K-5
-
In Baldwin Union Free School District, students, K-5, receive mathematical instruction during a 60-minute block through the Eureka Math program. Eureka Math is a complete pre-K through 12 curriculum that carefully sequences the mathematical progressions into modules. The program equates mathematical concepts to stories, with the aim of developing conceptual understanding. Eureka Math encourages students to use various mental strategies to solve problems and to focus on the process instead of the answer, thereby deepening students’ understanding of mathematics.
