Curriculum and Instruction
-
The Office of Curriculum and Instruction provides information and support to improve students’ academic achievement across content areas as well as assists teachers in the development of high quality instructional practices to motivate and inspire student learners. Through the implementation of New York State’s Next Generation standards and the ongoing alignment of our local curricula to these standards, students are exposed to rigorous programs of study along their educational journey.
The Next Generation standards guide students to achieve success and meet high expectations as they are anticipated to master advanced skills in literacy and mathematics as well as across all content areas.
In addition, the Office of Curriculum and Instruction oversees an award-winning Instructional Technology program, ensuring that students are engaged and experiencing meaningful learning and achievement while enhancing the teaching process.
