Mr. Daniel Page

I have been teaching Middle School ELA for ten years and am excited to bring my talents and experiences to Baldwin this year!  I have taught in other districts on Long Island, but spent the majority of my career teaching in Queens, where I was born and raised.

I believe that the purpose of ELA class should be to help students develop habits that will help them become lifelong readers and writers.  I believe that we are not studying specific books, per se, but the tools and skills required to read any book they can find.  Everyone can be a reader and a writer if they think of themselves that way.  It's my job to help my students see themselves as the best readers and writers so we can grow together.

In our ever-changing world, we read and write to connect with our past, engage with the present, and inspire the future.  My goal is to be a guide for students as they use their own voices to make a difference.
