Degrees and Certifications:

Madame Milin Seltzer

Bonjour, I am Madame Milin, I will be teaching French at the High School. It will be my first year at Baldwin, but my eighth year as a language instructor. I was born, raised and educated in France. I have a Master’s degree in Psychology from Université Louis Pasteur, Strasbourg. After receiving my degree, I went on a journey that brought me to the USA. I fell in love with New York City’s diverse population; here I could strike a conversation with people from all over the world without jumping on a plane: my kind of place!  My skills with the French language landed me a position with an international bank in Manhattan.  However, after the events of 9/11, I questioned my career path, and decided to go back to school. I received my second Master’s in Education from Stony Brook University.   I am so excited to become a member of Baldwin teaching family. I will share my passion for my own culture with my students and guide them in mastering the French language.

I love travelling and discovering new cultures, this year I set foot in Puerto Rico and Cuba. During the summer I swim in the ocean daily and also enjoy running and biking. My favorite quote is from the author Albert Camus:

“Life is not a destination, life is a journey, as long as you continue the journey, you will always be a success.”
