Mr. Page - ELA 8 and Great Books 8

  • As you are aware, recent events have forced Baldwin Middle School to move to an eLearning model.  We believe that this model enables us to provide meaningful learning opportunities for your child even though it is not possible to be physically present.
For ELA class, students will be required to sign into Google Classroom at each weekday.  There will be an attendance sign-in students will be required to fill out each time to receive credit.
Between 8:00 and 9:00 am, Monday through Friday, I will be posting new content.  This may be a lesson video to watch, a passage to read, or an assignment to complete.  There will be days when I offer Google Hangout sessions for students I will be available from 8:00-3:00 each day to respond to student questions.  Our main assignment will be for students to create a daily diary, whether handwritten, in a Google Doc, or a video diary to catalog their thoughts, feelings and experiences during this crisis.  This assignment will be paired with passages from The Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank.
Students can contact me via email or (preferably) as a private message on Google Classroom.  Students will receive feedback for their assignments through Google Classroom and grades will be updated on eSchool by the end of the week.
Please follow up with your child as much as possible.
Thank you for your help and support.  Please remain healthy and safe.
