The Baldwin Union Free School District is pleased to offer a Pre-K Program through the New York State Universal Pre-K (UPK) Expansion Funding initiative. Baldwin UFSD's Universal Pre-K Program is a collaboration with Just Kids Early Childhood Learning and provides a developmentally appropriate environment with learning activities to help prepare children for Kindergarten.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the district’s Universal Pre-K Program, students must turn 4 years old by December 1, 2023 and are currently and will continue to be a resident within the boundaries of the Baldwin Union Free School District.
Pre-Registration for Lottery: April 1-April 24, 12 PM
Because the grant is limited and can only be used for a pre-determined number of students, participants of the Universal Pre-K Program will be selected through a lottery system. Pre-Registration for the lottery will be open beginning April 1 through April 24. All entries for this lottery are due by Monday, April 24, 12 PM. Those who are selected will be notified no later than Tuesday, April 25 using the email address provided on the lottery application. The selected applicants will then need to proceed with the registration process at the District Office by appointment. Proof of residency to be officially enrolled for the 2023-24 school year must be provided.
