About UPK

  • The Baldwin Union Free School District is pleased to launch a Pre-K Program through the New York State Universal Pre-K (UPK) Expansion Funding initiative. The new Pre-K Program is a collaboration with Just Kids Early Childhood Learning and offers a developmentally appropriate environment with learning activities to help prepare 4-year-olds for Kindergarten.

    Eligibility
    To be eligible for the district’s Pre-K program, students must turn 4 years old by December 1, 2021 and currently be a resident within the boundaries of the Baldwin Union Free School District.

    Start Date
    The Pre-K Program’s first day of school is planned for September 1, 2021, but will depend on final program approvals needed from the New York State Office of Child and Family Services. The district will notify the program participants of the exact start date upon this approval.
