Ms. Nia Thompson

Hello,

This is my 17th year teaching in the Baldwin School District.  I have spent the past 12 years teaching in Baldwin High School; and  this is my fifth year teaching in Baldwin Middle School.  I am also a Baldwin alum and a part of the Baldwin community.  I am extremely excited and look forward to yet another year of growth and success!

Courses taught:

9th Honors, 10th Honors, Literature through a Media Lens, Mystery & Crime, Developmental Writing, Study Skills Tutorial, SAT/ACT Prep, Introduction to Media Writing, Psychology & Literature, English/ENL, English 1R, ELA 7, ELA 7H, Great Books 8, Pre-Academy Speech & Debate, AVID-7 and AVID-8.

Currently teaching for the 2022-2023 academic year:

ELA 7, ELA 7H, Great Books 7, and AVID 8.

In addition, I have been a mentor to students ranging from grades 7-12 for the past 16 years.
