¡Bienvenidos a la clase de Español! This year you will continue to be challenged with more in depth study of the Spanish language. Last year I'm sure many of you realized the importance of studying a second language. This is about how you are able to introduce yourself, greet friends, describe your family members, and discuss many other topics using your knowledge of Spanish. Just imagine what you'll learn this year!
This year we will not only complete the Spanish 1 curriculum, but each of you will be required to take the New York State FLACS Exam in June. This exam is designed to measure your reading, listening, speaking and writing skills in Spanish. Passing this exam will allow you to receive 1 high school credit for the two years you have studied a second language.
Rest assured there will be challenges throughout the year, but one result of your effort will be a profound sense of accomplishment as your skills and knowledge of a second language increases.
