• Baldwin High School has a long tradition of dedication to music and art, supported by the Baldwin Friends of Music and Art.

The art and music departments participate in National Arts in Education Week with art displays and musical ensembles entertaining the school community. Student artwork is also on display in various venues, including the All-County Art Exhibit, Superintendent's Office, and the annual Art Show,  featuring both high school and middle school artwork in a gallery setting.  Every year, art students visit New York City museums and raise funds for charitable organizations.

The most recent musical production was Hello Dolly in which students performed on stage, worked on stage crew, or played in the pit orchestra.  Student musical talent is also featured in a number of school concerts including the Fall Honors Concert, Jazz Night, and Suites and Sweets.  Students are regularly selected for All-State and All-County music events and many perform with outside groups, such as the Nassau Suffolk Ensembles, Metropolitan Youth Orchestra and Long Island Youth Orchestra.

This year, the Baldwin High School Wind Symphony was the first high school group to perform a new concerto with a guest from the New York Philharmonic Orchestra.  The Wind Symphony also won the highest honor of Gold with Distinction at NYSSMA, where Chamber Orchestra, Concert Choir and Symphony Band also took home gold.
