Baldwin Public Library

The Baldwin Public Library provides full reference services and maintains over 120,000 books, 80 periodical and newspaper subscriptions, a DVD/video collection, audiobooks, music CDs, video games and museum passes. The library subscribes to more than 50 premium online resources, including downloadable audio and eBooks, live homework help, and access to Newsday and The New York Times back to their first issues. Computers with Internet access are available for adults, teens and children, and there is WiFi service throughout the building. Patrons have access to a scanner, fax, and residents may access the library's catalog and most online resources from their home computers. Patrons may reserve and renew items from home and pay fines online.
Special services include interlibrary loans, a wide variety of programs for adults, teens and children, and homebound delivery and smart lockers. A newsletter, The Piper, containing program schedules and other timely reminders of library services, is available for email on the library's website or in the library. The library is accessible to the physically challenged.
The Board of Trustees generally meets on the third Wednesday of each month. Call to verify the time and location.
