Curriculum

The Baldwin elementary schools focus on educating the whole child - socially, emotionally, and academically. Differentiated learning takes place every day with the implementation of the Go Math and balanced literacy programs. Go Math has been enthusiastically embraced and features interactive and differentiated activities as well as formative and summative assessments. Writing has been emphasized through training and professional development in the Teacher's College and Readers/Writers Workshop. As we move to provide more instruction and resources for each level of learner, staff is being provided with professional development and coaching in the co-teaching model of instruction. Each of the elementary schools participates in school-wide spelling bees, mentoring programs, and visits to the Baldwin Public Library.
