Welcome to the home of the Bruins!

Athletics can be a valuable component of a student's educational experience. Through the promotion of self-discipline, dedication, sportsmanship, teamwork, accountability, and commitment to achievement, athletics fosters many of the qualities and educational values we endorse as a district. Athletic competition is a forum through which students may push themselves and their limitations, allowing them to develop self-confidence and enhance their self-esteem.  

The athletic program, which is an extension of the Physical Education program, offers 53 modified, junior varsity, and varsity teams at Baldwin Middle School and Baldwin High School. Baldwin High School athletes celebrate their achievements at the annual Varsity Banquet.

• BHS Senior Wins 55 Meter Hurdle State Title
• Three BHS Athletes among Newsday's Top 100 Basketball Players
• Boys Varsity Basketball Team named Nassau County Champions - Coach Darius Burton, named Newsday's "Coach of the Year" (450th career win)
• Girls Varsity Basketball Team named Long Island Champions
• BHS Girls’ Varsity Volleyball Team named 2025 Conference Champions after an undefeated season
• BHS Senior among Newsday's Top 100 Softball Players
• Thirteen Baldwin Wrestlers reach All-County Status
• BHS Junior awarded NCTCA Most Outstanding Sprinter of the Year
• Boys outdoor Track and Field team wins 4x100 relay at Nassau Class AAA Track & Field Championships
• BHS Senior wins the 300m sprint in the NYS & Federation Championship
• Two BHS Seniors among Newdays top soccer players
• BHS named a 2024-2025 School of Distinction by the NYS Public High School Athletic Association
• Two BHS Seniors awarded the Nassau County Track Coaches Association Most Outstanding Male & Female Sprinter for Indoor Track
• BHS Junior placed 2nd in the NYS Championship and 3rd in the Federation Championship in the 55m dash
• Four Varsity Cheerleaders were recognized at the Section VIII Nassau County Cheerleading Dinner
• BHS Girls Bowling Team wins first place in their division
