Baldwin Middle School Hosts Multicultural Festival

Baldwin Middle School Hosts Multicultural Festival

Annual Baldwin Tradition Celebrates Community’s Diversity

Baldwin Middle School kicked off the month of March with its annual Multicultural Festival. Under the direction of Dean Rosemarie Socci in collaboration with the school’s PTA, the annual celebration brings students, families, and staff together to honor the various cultures represented in the Baldwin community.

“Culture is something to be proud of,” Dean Socci emphasized. “Today we celebrate the traditions, food, music, and stories that make us unique”

The event featured traditional foods, music, performances, and displays that highlight customs and traditions from around the world. With the help of PTA parents, staff, and students, the festival showcased the school’s commitment to unity and inclusion while giving students the opportunity to learn about and appreciate the community’s rich cultural tapestry. The yearly celebration has been a beloved tradition at the school for nearly two decades.

Baldwin Middle School student Kai Kunz, an eighth grader, expressed enthusiasm about the event, saying, “I love how the festival has brought us together even though we all have differences.”

Lauriana Lugo, also an eighth grader, added, “The Multicultural Festival reminds us that even though we come from different backgrounds, we are one community.”
