Baldwin High School Track Athletes Break Records and Achieve Multiple Medal Finishes at Two Major Indoor Meets

Baldwin’s winter student-athletes and teams continue to excel, with the boys track program delivering several standout performances in recent competitions.

At the Marine Corps Invitational, held at the Nike Armory in New York City, Brandon Thweatt claimed first place in the 55-meter hurdles with a winning time of 7.52 seconds. Thweatt later joined Tyrell Holder, C.J. Graham, and Mikhi Williams to earn a fourth-place finish in the finals of the 4x200-meter relay. Sophomore Khalil Williams also had a strong showing, medaling in the Sophomore 55-meter hurdles with a time of 9.27 seconds.

The boys returned to the Nike Armory to compete in the 2026 Apple Hispanic Games, where Brandon once again delivered. He broke two school records, placing fifth in the 55-meter dash in 6.49 seconds and finishing second in the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 7.35 seconds. That hurdles time currently ranks as the seventh-fastest in the United States.

Additional medalists included 9th grader, Gio Dupplesy, who placed third in the Freshman 55-meter dash with a time of 6.96 seconds, and Chinonso Ajomiwe, who earned sixth place in the triple jump with a leap of 43 feet, 1.5 inches.

The performances highlight the continued growth and success of Baldwin’s boys track program.
