Cradle of Aviation Brings Planetarium to Schools for Students and Teachers as Part of the Science Curriculum

Fourth-Grade Students Engaged in Studying the Sky

Fourth-grade students at each Baldwin elementary school has been engaged in studying the sky as part of their science curriculum. With the assistance of the Cradle of Aviation, they gained an immersive experience of the sky, stars, and universe through a portable planetarium dome equipped with advanced digital technology. This setup was designed to display vivid and clear images, including stars, constellations, solar systems, and more! Both teachers and approximately 30 students had the opportunity to sit inside the dome and explore topics such as using the sun as a compass, understanding constellations, learning about northern and southern constellations, the life cycle of stars, and the planets.

This program was covered by NBC New York (Channel 4) and News 12 Long Island.
