David Kreutz Makes History as First Student Representative on Baldwin Board of Education

Baldwin High School Senior Highlighted in the Baldwin Herald

Excerpt from article:

David Kreutz, an incoming senior at Baldwin High School, made history this summer as the first-ever student representative on the Baldwin Board of Education. Sworn in as an ex officio member, Kreutz will serve as a voice for the district’s students, offering input on issues that affect their school experiences.

“Being sworn in as Baldwin’s first student representative is the highest achievement of any of my extracurricular pursuits,” Kreutz said. “It’s a continuation of the legacy my family holds in education, including my grandfather who served as principal at Elmont Memorial High School.”

Kreutz, who currently works as a summer custodian at Shubert Elementary School, said a plaque on the building’s facade—reading “For the use and benefit of youth”—encapsulates his vision for student advocacy.
