Baldwin Union Free School District is an award-winning K-12 public school district situated on Long Island in Baldwin, NY. We take pride in effectively preparing all of our students to be "future ready!" We are pleased to assist you with registering your child for our district.
All school registration is by appointment only.
Please ensure that you have picture identification available for entry into the district office.
Registration Information for New Residents
Children who are legal residents of the school district and who will turn 5 years old on or before December 1 should be registered for school by their parents/guardians at the District Office, 960 Hastings Street.
Parents/guardians of school-age children moving into the district should register their children as soon as possible during the summer months or on the first day after arrival during the school year.
No student will be admitted to school without proof of immunization against diphtheria, poliomyelitis, mumps, and rubella (German measles). In addition, proof must be shown that the child has received two (2) doses of measles vaccine or other acceptable proof of measles immunity. All students entering the seventh grade must have also received the Hepatitis B immunization. Kindergarten Registration
Kindergarten registration for the 2025-2026 school year takes place between January 21, 2025 and January 31, 2025 in person (by appointment only) at the district's Registration Office, 960 Hastings Street.
Universal Pre-K Program
The district anticipates the UPK Lottery for the 2025-2026 school year will take place on April 4 at 12 pm. Learn more >>
