Simon Youth Foundation Partnership Opens the Door to Job Opportunities for Students at Baldwin H.S.@Shubert
As a result of the Simon Youth Foundation partnership, students in the Police Science Program at Baldwin High School@Shubert participated in a Shadow Day at Roosevelt Field Mall for an inside look at security operations. Nassau County Police Department presented on how security teams and the police force collaborate and communicate with each other to enforce laws and maintain order. In addition, students saw firsthand the operations of the security control room and learned about the process for obtaining the 8- and 16-hour New York State security licenses—many of the second-year Police Science students are taking the exam soon. The security team at Roosevelt Field also discussed the hiring process for security jobs and future career opportunities.
