Baldwin UFSD Hosts Annual Fitness Jamboree
Fourth and Fifth Grade Students Compete for Top Place
Baldwin Union Free School District recently held yet another successful Fitness Jamboree event. Fourth and fifth grade students that qualified as a school finalist in their elementary school’s Physical Fitness Jamboree were invited to compete against their peers in the district-wide event, which was held after school at Baldwin High School.
Each year, the school’s physical education teachers and the high school students of Athletes Helping Athletes organize the annual Baldwin tradition. The jamboree consists of four stations: sit-ups, shuttle run, long jump, and push-ups. The winner of each competition receives a Fitness Jamboree t-shirt and a certificate.
